165 to 730 swap - Won't Start
I just swapped out my 165 ECM for the 730 ECM. I used the instructions linked from the tech articles page. My problem is, the engine won't start. I suspected VATS, so I've tried switching Bit 16 on and off but still no luck. I was watching my injector pulsewidth on TunerPro RT, and it stays at zero even while cranking. What may be keeping the injectors from firing? Could I have a fried injector driver or a faulty ECM? I'm using the AUJP bin with the injector flowrate modified for a 305 and magnetic VSS. Otherwise, it's a stock bin. I'm rather certain that I did my pinouts correctly, but if there is something obvious that I'm missing, or if you have any suggestions, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Keith
P.S. I tried searching the forums for this or a similar problem, but the search function does not seem to be working properly. It keeps saying that it found no matches, no matter what i put in the search box. I'm sure that I'm not the first person with this sort of problem.
Thanks
Keith

Recheck your distributor wiring to be sure it is correct.
You should get the fuel pump relay when you first turn the key on and with a distributor reference pulse.
A noid light is worth the $5 for being sure the injectors are actually firing too.
TPS at idle setting about 0.45 or so, Distributor at 6*
Got a V8 memcal for the 730?

Inj PW don't start displaying out the ALDL until the engine
is running above 400rpms, so that may be a red herring.
Get the few-$ injector noid like as suggested and verify
injectors are firing during cranking.
Do all the other sensors look ok while the ign is on, and
during cranking? Post the tunerpro scan file if you can.
(Byte 16 for VATs still has just a single bit {bit 4} to disable
the VATs, are you sure you unset it correctly? Can you post
your .bin file also?)

Re: 165 to 730 swap - Won't Start
Thanks for all the input guys, but I have found the root of the problem...It turns out that the file I was uploading to my Prominator was not from the same location as the file I was editing in TunerPro.
I guess that's what 1:00 AM does to you with no sleep since 5:30 the previous morning. I loaded the appropriate file yesterday, and it took right off. Everything else is working/reading like it should, and running great. Again, thanks for your help.
