Serial to USB

I give up. I know somewhere Rbob gave a number for a serial to USB adapter (Belkin I think). I've done every search I can think of, does anyone know of the adapter.

I don't know about the Belkin version, but there is one called US232B/LC made by EasySync Ltd of Glasgow, Scotland (I think this one is vended by Xtronics) that is out there.

Sex on this one is USB on computer side to serial RS232 (9-pin Male pin), if that is what you are looking for.....

Re: Serial to USB

I'm also using Tunercat II to learn to tune OBDII stuff, and the only adapter that will work correctly with his cable is the Keyspan USB Serial Adapter, about 35.00 on ebay or at moates.net. I tried about a half dozen, and couldn't get them to work everytime, and I went to TC web site and found out they recommended that one, and it works every time.

Re: Serial to USB

I don't have the number but it is made by belkin. It is a usb to serial pda adapter. You should be able to find it at any decent Office store or computer store.

Re: Serial to USB

Belkin's newer USB to serial cable uses a chipset that does not work for what we are doing. Be careful.
