if anyone has the definition file for the 6299 could i please get it or can you let me know where to find it. im using tunerpro rt.

There is a good possibility no one has. The '6299 is not that popular of an ECM and was never used in a '82 - '92 Camaro or Firebird. You may be able to change it out for a '7747 or '8746 ECM. This may also entail changing a few ECM harness connector pins around. The '7747 & '8746 are well known in these parts.

It may or may not be a direct swap. Within this family of ECMs 99% of the pins are dedicated. For those pins they will be the same between all ECMs (within this family).

Where they can change is some of the quad driver outputs and some of the status inputs. You would need to compare your wiring against the '7747 wiring. You may find that they all match up and it is a direct swap. You may find that 2 pins (or more) are reversed and need to be changed in the harness connector.
