ive been messing with my moates apu1 and couldnt get it to read the ecm. i got to messing with the aldl port and noticed its missing some of the connectors (metal pieces in each hole) is it possible to put in a new one?

The ALDL cable does not need all of the connectors, it only needs about 4 of them as illustrated in the attached picture. 
If it is not reading the ECM then it is likely that your drivers are not installed or the switches in the back are not setup right Moates APU 1 instructions can be found here:

What software are you using? I assume tunerpro. Have you fully configured this to use with the APU1?

well i have that i do that everytime, ive been having a problem with even using my code reader also, i know its not the code reader, because it will work on my 96 t/a and my 05 2500, but ill keep trying i might be overlooking something
