proportional gain duration "IDLE"
proportional gain duration "IDLE"
would reducing the value in stock EBL.bin from 3 to say 1 help smooth the idle when using 80 lb injs at 19 lbs fuel pressure?
Or should one leave the value at 3 when using a VAFPR with above injs and FP?
Would same reduction apply to "offset" ?

Ron,
The Prop Gains in the stock EBL are meant for a fairly stock motor. Playing with the PG makes a world of difference on how smoothly the motor runs. 2 80# injectors at 19-20psi puts out an awful lot more fuel that stock injectors at stock pressure. Therefore there's too much gain. This is where an emulator really helps. This is a bin using the VAFPR. Here's where mine were set on the last bin I burned for the Xfire before I sold it.

Dom...
I see that your Gain mult vs airflow and Dur vs o2 error are allot higher than mine.
How does that help?

I have reduced the PG's late last year. I amy do so again this learning season. I never looked at above till this spring. My stock EBL.bin has never been modified to best of my knowledge. Maybe I changed it in error. I guess it is OK then at (3).

DM,
I see you're running a 305. Mine was a 350.
I set them to the point where holding a steady throttle didn't induce "bucking" or cycling. It just held that rpm. Particularly say around 2500-3000rpm.
Also, don't forget the VAFPR. More fuel pressure at higher airflow, lower at lower airflow.

DIY Prom. RBob just responded! Not having one changed the firing mode !
With prior 7747 I had a 6 cyl calpack and used it when wife kicked the chip out of socket with her size 12's! Car then ran like crap on the 6 cyl calpack. So in essense I never saw the value so never added it to 8746-EBL. I do now !
