Question on SES light
Question on SES light
Quick question on the SES light. I have been getting an SES light when driving my 85 vette, But when I go to pull the codes, I can't get the SES to blink when I short A&B. I've checked the ALDL, and when I probe A&M, I get a fluxuating voltage between 3 and 5 V, but the SES is on solid. When I first turn the key, the SES blinks, then is on solid. I've pulled the codes before, but this is the first time the SES has stayed solid and would not blink....any suggestions?
Cheers,
Michael

Re: Question on SES light
The SES blinking then on solid with key on is good. When you jumper A & B does the fan run?

Re: Question on SES light
MK, hopefully you don't mind me cutting in here. I have a question about the SES light as well.
I pulled out whole dash but I want to keep the SES light. I found the wire that goes from the ECM to the dash for the SES light and I wired a bulp (that was an interior light) into it, but it doesn't light. Not sure why. I verified that the bulb is good and also checked that the fan does come on with the autoprom switch flipped. Only thing I haven't done is check my circuit. Probably should do that before I ask for help, but maybe someone has been through this before I knows what is going on.
