Datalogging problem

OK, so I have a ALDL cable & tunerpro hooked to to my laptop & I can't seem to get the datalog to work. I followed the tunerpro instructions, but there is one thing I'm not sure of. From what I can tell I should be using the 1227165_6E.ads datastream. When I choose this setting it says connection failed. So, then I choose 1227165-160baud.ads & it says it connects but no data pops up on the screen. What I am I doing wrong? My car is a 1989 bird w/MAF. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Datalogging problem

Download WinALDL and go to settings and check the 165 ECM

Check your port settings

Make sure your cable has a 10,000 Ohm resistor

Took me 10 seconds to find information using Google's search feature:

Re: Datalogging problem

Alright I got WinALDL to work but not tunerpro. I have a ALDL.com cable & I had the jumper for it in the wrong position. Not really sure why tunerpro doesn't work but WinALDL does? thanks for all the help Lucid

Re: Datalogging problem

I have the same setup, except my cable is the serial version. I really like WinALDL since you can copy and paste in Excel and modify it anyway you like.

Never could get Tunerpro to log anything.
