So i heard somewhere that an engine will actually require slightly less spark advance at WOT then it would at lets say 70 bars map. Is this true or should i just put my timing pretty much all in at 3800+ rpms flat accross the board?

Just looking for a starting point because im working off TPI tables to start with.

Also curious as to the same question about SA at WOT vs 40-50 bars map in the 2000-3000 rpm range

Now that things make sense, less fuel in midrange = slower burn and needs more timing, more fuel at throttle = faster burn and less timing. Simple enough.

New plan of attack is to put less fuel and more timing in the cruise area's and put more fuel and less timing at WOT as well as in the range that i have the target afr set for a lower % afr even through out the midrange

heres a better question

given the motor in my sig and 10.5:1 compression how much base timing should i play around with.

The car is still set to the stock 6 degrees but afaik the computer removes the base timing from what is in the SA table so for instance if its a base of 6 and says 20 in the table then it puts in 14 degrees of advance.(correct me if im wrong)

so what difference am i going to see with the base set at 10 or 12, if im running 20 degrees of timing at idle anyways, because the computer is just going to put less advance in isnt it?
