Re: trying to emulate in turnerpro ( video)
Looks like you are using all the right items, though it's hard to read the screen shot.
Try this order:
-Open bin
-Open XDF
-Upload to emulator
-click on emulate.
The above is the order I use.
Also you can use the short cut key along the top of the screen.
The blue chip turns emulation on and off.
The up arrow uploads the current bin to the emulator.
The LPT cable icon will initialze current attached hardware.
The things that the video doesn't show is connection of the emulator to the ECM.
It's very important to have the ribbon cable orientation correct.
In a '7747 or similar ECM, the red stripe (For Moates' Ostrich)/pin #1 must be to the middle of the ECM or towards the CALPAK to word it differently.
In a '7730 (Which I believe you're using), '7749 and similar ECMs, the red strip/pin #1 must face away from the MEMCAL area, or closest to the edge of the opening to word it differently.
There are some pics on www.moates.net that show this under the documentation link.

Re: trying to emulate in turnerpro ( video)
After uploading the bin to the emulator, turn the key on (but don't start)
The SES should flash then come on solid.
Then do a "verify" emulator agaist current file to see if the bin was actually uploaded to the emulator properly.
If you don't get the flash its not working.
If you don't get the verify then check the cables etc. (Verify will always fail if key is OFF, at least on my AutoProm)
