Wideband Tunerpro Offsets

I've tried wiring in the LC-1 a few different ways now but I just cant get the output on the ECU to read the same as Logworks.

Is it possible that I can just change the readings by a certain offset? I've sort of read about this before on the Innovate forum.

Ie set a flatline of 1v on the LC-1 and see what voltage the ECM is seeing and offset the graph by this amount?

Hope I'm making sense?

Re: Wideband Tunerpro Offsets

Where do you have the wb input wired? Best place to do it is the fuel pump signal pin and disable error 54. Then you can adjust the wb output at the LC1 and adjust your aldl definition file to match.

Re: Wideband Tunerpro Offsets

using the defult pin on the SaujpV4 bin... I'm getting a reading but its out

ie 14.7 on logworks is morelike 16.7 on tunerpro.

it follows the correct path but there is always a difference.

its hard to do because your car have to be running for tp to display the a/f and that makes it bounce around some but in your case it sounds like it could be done. unless you know the look up table voltage and the true output, it will be trial and error.

Re: Wideband Tunerpro Offsets

Have you tried the "Raw" output selection and the "Raw" scaled value in TP? (or the other settings to confirm its always out that far)
I put options in there just in case something like this came up but so far there are only a few instances where people made adjustments.
You may have a higher resistance on the path from the LC-1 (signal or ground)
recheck all that wiring to be sure its as good as it gets. Tie the LC-1 signal common to the ECM commons if possible to have all the signals share the same ground path.
Changing the ADS would get the readings to line up but of course if the resistance changes again it would read incorrect again.
??? is correct that the ECM output only displays when the engine is running.
You could use a volt meter and figure the "counts" manually to come up with the "adjusted" values.
Each count (5 volts/255 steps) = 0.01961 Volts
This is using the Raw setting with the WB outputting 0-5 V range.
Setting the WB to output the 5 v range from 10.0 to 20.0 = 0.03922 AFR/Count
You must add 10 as the starting point.
If you use different AFR or volt range, adjust accordingly.

I had and still have the same problem. I have changed offsets, multipliers, grounds, and anything else I can think of and everthing the guys on here said to try. I gave up at the beginning of winter but will be back at it next week. I'll keep an eye here to see if you get it going, if I figure it out first I'll post what I had to do.

Good luck,
Dewayne

Re: Wideband Tunerpro Offsets

I sorted this purely by selecting RAW data rather than any other bit. WB02 LC-1 (heading) now follows Logworks perfectly... Awesome being able to LOG WB02!!!

So are you running an offset?
What are the values you used?

Just the default settings - I had 2 bits selected for WB options sellecting RAW and veiwing the LC-1 RAW data-tab gives me near as damn it spot on viewing... certaily no more than a point or two out.

Did you see my thread re- open loop tuning - something I was hoping you might have an input on.

Re: Wideband Tunerpro Offsets

If this change was made in Tunerpro, can it be changed with the 165 ecm? if yes, where do I look for it?

Thanks, Dewayne

Re: Wideband Tunerpro Offsets

Hi Guys,

I am using the LC-1 along with TunerProRT and the AutoPROM.

If your setup is similar, you may be interested in the attachment.

I have an 87 IROCZ that I am presently tuning with the help of this board.

My setup is as follows:

1.
WBO2 mounted just before the CAT.

2.
LC-1 Power is connected to the switched ECM Power under the dash.

3.
LC-1 Ground is connected to the ECM ground on the passenger Cylinder Head.

4.
LC-1 Channel 1 (simulated NBO2) not used but connected to the AutoPROM Channel 1 ADC.

5.
LC-1 Channel 2 sent to the Moates O2 meter (for display) and also to the AutoPROM channel 2 ADC (logging).

6.
Stock LC-1 Channel 2 Output Programming.

The Logged AFR is very close to the displayed AFR on the O-Meter.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Bruce

I don't have an autoprom but if thats what it takes I may just have to get one. I'm only 150 miles or so from Craig Moates, the next weekend I have off and he is gonna be around I plan to make the trip and get some of the thing I have been fighting for over a year now figured out.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: Wideband Tunerpro Offsets

I'm not following your multiplier.
When using the Moates I/O adapter they are 10 bit signals (1024 steps)
Reconfirm what you have there to my calculations from a while ago.
I have to run out or I'd do it all real quick.
Here's the link to what I had figured. (hopefully it works)
http://forum.tunerpro.net/viewtopic....ighlight=scale

Not doubting what you have, just not sure where the value came from.
Could just be the LC-1 scaling you have programmed is different than what I did.

Re: Wideband Tunerpro Offsets

Hi JP,

When I started using the LC-1 I did not want to re-program the default Channel 2 setup.

O Vdc = 7.35 AFR = 0 ADC Counts

5 Vdc = 22.39 AFR = 1024 ADC Counts

I used a liner definition.

Y=Mx+B

M= (22.39-7.35) / 1024 = 1.46875E-2 : Unit = AFR / ADC_Step

Y= 7.35

So my final equation is:

AFR = 1.46875E-2*ADC_Steps + 7.35

Check:

At 0 Steps : AFR = 7.35

At 1024 Steps : AFR = 22.39

I have set the "range high" and "range low" parameters in TunerPro to set the WBO2 vertical scale limits.

Best Regards,

Bruce
