speedometer and EBL ?

HI, my MPH on the EBL WUD don't match my speedo. Is there some way to adjust this ? I use tunerpro to tune. My 88 camaro uses a cable speedo with an optical VSS on the back of the speedo head, so changing the gears in the trans won't fix this. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Dean.

Re: speedometer and EBL ?

Double check that the WUD isn't using KPH for the speedo display (set in Preferences dialog).

Other then that not sure what to tell you. The WUD displays the MPH directly as reported by the ECM. It may be that the speedometer needs to be re calibrated.

OTOH, maybe the VSS buffer is bad. It works by reflecting light from an LED off of the bar that spins with the speedo cable. If the screw that holds the light head to the back of the speedo comes loose it won't pick up the spinning bar correctly.

Is the WUD displaying a slower speed then the speedometer? That would be a sign that the light unit on the back of the speedometer isn't picking up the bar each times it comes around.

Re: speedometer and EBL ?

RBob, thanks for the response. My WUD is set up for MPH. The WUD is about 3 MPH faster at 35 and about 6 MPH faster at 70. Not a problem, just thought I might be able to correct this. Thanks again, Dean.
