Torque management tbi with 4l60e?

So I have done some research and it appears that there may be some way to mess with the torque management if there is even tm on my 93 k2500 with an 8625 and 4l60e. Anyway I was wondering if anyone has played with disabling this and what parameters I would need to adjust in the $od mask?

The torque management in $0D is referring to the Speed and RPM Limiter. To disable, adjust the "Speed and RPM Limiter Parameters" accordingly.
For example: Set the "MPH to Enter Fuel Cut Off" to 255 and the "MPH to Resume Fueling" to 250, to disable the MPH limiter.

I believe the LSX trucks use a similar strategy to protect the drivetrain with the additional capability of limiting torque through the ignition, similar to TCS.

I would think the TBI 350's wouldnt have produced the output to require such a program.

Keep in mind that running a truck beyond a relatively modest speed can cause the driveshaft to come whipping out.

Re: Torque management tbi with 4l60e?

Well did some tuning last night and there is no torque management just poor tuning. A little more fuel and it just breaks loose pretty easy.

Anyway I also increased my shift points to 5k on the shift tables, and it seems to shift okay. However are there any other things that I should change when I change the shift points like line pressures? I am an auto tranny noob are there any good writeups on here about the 4l60e tuning parameters?

There IS a timing retard for torque management during upshifts...Its set at 5-10* retard depending on the calibration.

I would look at the part-throttle and WOT shift point and TCC lockup. Also the line pressure could use some tweaks. Don't forget the commanded shift times.

Fast, which parameter are you referring to. In my previous post I was referring to 414B "Maximum Spark Retard for Torque Management". I've played with this before and seems to limit spark while the Speed and RPM limiters are active. Is this incorrect?
