first datalog

i just did my first data log today. i have a 92 chevy k1500 with a 299 ecm. can anyone look at my datalog and let me know what you think.

fueling isn't too bad, until you get to around 20-30 kPa, then it's a bit rich...

i havent quite grasped map values yet. what exactly is high and low map? should it be as lean as it is in my table? from what i understand i need to change all my values in my table to be 128+/-5

128 +/- 5 is a good goal, especially your first time tuning. be sure to disable CCP and EGR while doing this because they can get you stuck in a loop that's ALL kinds of pain.

MAP is another way of describing intake vacuum or pressure. a low MAP value(say 20kPa) means a pretty strong vacuum, like if you are in a fairly low gear at a high speed with no throttle.

a high MAP value(let's say 85kPa) means the engine is under considerable load, like in 4th gear with the TCC locked and heavy throttle. above ~105kPa is considered boost. ~210kPa would be around 14.7PSI

thanks! i havent got my burning equipment yet but im just doing some logging to see what everything looks like. hopefully ill have my burn stuff next week.

in my bin file under flags it says some are set or not set. i assume set means its on and not set is off?

that's probably due to the 7747 ECM not putting out a TPS% in it's datastream, so someone made a conversion based off of a known good voltage and you're is just below it.
