$OD Constants Table Question

In the BJLH bin there is two constants that I cant seem to find any information on.

Platform ID (MSW) and Platform ID (LSW)

I did a search and found lots on platform, but nothing on (MSW) or (LSW).

Can someone explain what these are?

Yeah, if you look at a hack src, you will find that there are a total of 4 bytes, 2 words defining the platform ID. MSW = most significant word LSW = least significant word

Re: $OD Constants Table Question

nothing really, it just identifies the platform, most hacs have FFFF FFFF or 0000 0000
set for platform ID.

Re: $OD Constants Table Question

The reson I am so interested in these is my son just bought a 94 PU that prior owner installed a 383 in and it runs like crap. After looking at the tune that was done by a mail order company I see why, and we will straiten it out this weekend.

When I opened up the file I found the two constants that I have been talking about maxed out at 65535. I went back to my library of $OD bins and all were set to 0. I am just trying to figure out why they changed them, and if I should set them back to 0.

Re: $OD Constants Table Question

Gearhead, where in Oregon are you? I just opened a 1/2 dozen $0D bins, 2 had 0000 0000
and 4 had FFFF FFFF. I really don't think it matters, just ignore it. It doesn't have any effect on what you are doing. What BCC are you using as a starting point? Moates has a few 383 specific bins, not knowing what internals the 383 has will make for hours of frustration, but lots of datalogging and digging and I am sure you will sort it out. It sounds like you have a pretty good grasp of tuning.
