746 ecm tbi SA load

I've been going through the prom guide and can't find the
part about SA load. How does it calculate load? I have my
90-100map @ 6 degrees past 3600 rpm and the car pulls.
I thought I'd need it closer to 28-30 deg.

Load is from the MAP sensor. Head up to the sticky's, PROM Tuning Guide, Chapter 5, '8746/'7747/'8063 ECM, SA Logic. Explains how the ECM figures what SA to use. Note that there are some minor differences from that write up and the '8736 ECM.

This is in the transient SA and the idle stabilization SA. Which isn't covered in that write up.

Note that the total SA is defined by what the engine wants, not what the tuner thinks the engine wants. And swirl-port TBI heads require very little advance. Check out some stock calibrations first.

Thank you sir! I was becoming baffled by using very little advance.
