EBL-WP.... IAC

Seems on cold start I am seeing 200 steps in WU which I believe is max retraction allowable?

Does EBL report actual postion of pindle or what is being commanded in .bin?

I suspect my pindle is in fact functional yet I cannot get on cold start higher RPM unless I crutch with pedal. Once started I can relax pedal and it moves to 1200 rpms and gradually reduces in RPM as coolant warms.

IAC is functional on warm start as I see the flare on RPMs. Same on stall saver I can witness it works.

7.4L TBI with original IAC.

Possibly I am not getting enough fuel? Seems unlikely as if I fail to crutch I see mucho ext fumes in garage after I restart.

It does in fact start better and sees higher RPMs on cold day with coolant cold yet I have to monitor should it drop in RPM.

Re: EBL-WP.... IAC

The MAX IAC steps are a calibration parameter. It is also the commanded steps, which if the IAC is OK, is also the true position.

If you are seeing fumes on a cold start, trying leaning it a little. Try the after start (choke) AFR first.

The 7.4L TBI unit has a larger IAC pintle opening then the smaller versions. So shouldn't have an issue getting enough air on a cold start.

So to determine it is fully open I need to do visually? I will do that and clean passage as well.
