Is this a genuine 87 350 TPI automatic BIN?

Hi guys. I found this bin id at http://chevythunder.com/prom_bcc_1987.htm .
So I then went to moates website and found the bin available. So I downloaded it and plugged it in TunerPro. I wxported the file as a text and this is what the program found. So my question is for all of the Senior PROM programmers who are familiar with the bins, is the bin (ABWN) provided below a genuine 1987 IROC-Z 350 TPI automatic bin? I broke the text in 2 because it is too long. Thanks guys.

Something isn't right, it looks like you might need to use a different XDF file to view it in Tunerpro. I found an APYP and an APYU. Can anyone verify for us that one of those 2 are for an '87 IROC 350 TPI Auto????

If you have your original prom you might be able to look at it and see a 4 letter code. I know in my '89 vette the code is on top of the prom.

No. I dont have the original. I got my 86 MemCal, but it only supports the 305 engine. My Bro-n-law gave me his 87 350 TPI auto MemCal (Hypertech) but it took a dump. How do I view it as a $32B, as suggested in another thread?

According the http://chevythunder.com/prom_bcc_1989.htm , the below is for the 89 350 TPI but i believe that the 89 has the 9th injector delete. My IROC has the 9th injector (cold start).

In Tunerpro, click on one of the menus at the top (can't remember which one, not at my tuning laptop right now), and in the drop down menu you will see "select XDF". Click it, then browse to where it is. You will likely need to go to the tunerpro site or the moates site and download it. You will find it somewhere, then save it to your computer, and browse and select it as I mentioned above.

I have no way of knowing for sure if it's the bin you are looking for but you are now viewing it with the right XDF. You can play around and change the fan settings and such yourself if you want.

IF I were you I'd:

Set the fan off settings to 83.9C (183 F)

Set the fan on settings to 87.7C (190 F)

That always worked good for me when running a 180 stat.

You just double click the item in the Constants/Scalars window. When the window pops up, change the number in the window, then click save. When all done, go to file, select "save bin as", then type a name for the file like "tune 1, changed fan settings", and save it in a folder.

Play with it a little, search on here to see what changes work good with your setuup, make whatever changes you want. I'm not sure on a nearly stock setup what can be done to help performance or anything but I'm sure there are people on here who do. When all done, email me your .bin file and the XDF file along with your mailing address. I have an extra chip, I'll burn it for you and send it back to you to try.

Even on stock or bolt on setups, the air fuel can be abit off from ideal and timing is somewhat conservative. there is some power to be had with just timing changes. Changing the advance curve at WOT really helps. Bring in max timing sooner and torque will go up. With dyno or other wideband o2 sensor, you can verify best air fuel ratio for max power. Those are the main two things to try that worked well on my bolt on L98. I got that thing down to 12.95's with 254whp running lean. More work on the fuel delivery and I think I could have had 12.7's
