Question on BPW constant / switch 32B

In the constants and switches category in Tuner Pro RT using the 32B XDF file there is a switch for Base Pulse Width calibration method ( x=calc ) ... my bin is x'ed ... what does this do ? And how should it be set ? What does it affect ?
