16168625 with 4l80e

Hi all,

I drive a 84 corvette with tbi. now i put a 4l80e tranny in it and wire a 16168625 pcm in it, and now i am lurking a lot over here but can't find wich binfile and xdf for tuner pro to use.
I think the e6 xdf is for the 4l60e. can i use it for the 4l80e as well? or can i use a different xdf with this pcm.

Please can sombody put me in the right direction!

Sorry for bad english, i live in the Netherlands

This is a good read for answering your questions. There are a couple of people on that site that also hang out here. I think that you might want a $0E bin to control the 4l80E

Re: 16168625 with 4l80e

Thanks a lot for the link, I read the compleet topic and download the $OE mask

I download the BJDR as well, but in the table's of the PE and AE are no value's. is that a wrong bin?

How do you say that in english, is the bin corrupt then? Is there sombody who have a correct OE bin where i can start from.

Thanks for your help.

Are you sure that you have TunerPro 5, correct XDF and BJDR.bin file

You also should have the ADX file from tunerpro. If you got the BJDR from Moates.net, you might need to use firefox and right click the bin and select " save link as" to download a non corrupt bin. I just downloaded everything to check, and all the AE and PE tables I looked at were fine.

Re: 16168625 with 4l80e

When i try to download OE_tpv5_v250.xdf from the tunerpro site I can only get it in .txt is there a solution to get it in xdf or do i something wrong?

Maybe someone can e-mail the xdf and BJDR bin?

Thanks in advance, Sjaak

Use Firefox to download files - internet explorer has a known bug that corrupts files.

Please note that the screen shot was done with TunerPro ver 5

When you save it, you can just add the ".xdf" to the file name and it will save as an XDF.

Re: 16168625 with 4l80e

So now we are a few months later and i have the car out for a ride
i mount a vssb and wire it to the pcm, but get a new problem my digi dash need a ac signal. normaly it come strait from the tranny.

I orderd a converter by Dakota Digital, but it is stil by the dutch customs.

Now i have 65lb/hr injectors and put the fuel pressure to 30psi, what value should i put by injector size in the binfile? the stock 65 or the calculated 98lb/hr?

And for now last question, i read somewhere over injector bias? can someone try to explain me what that mean and how and or i need to adjust it wit higher fuelpressure?

thanks in advand, Sjaak

If you are running fixed fuel pressure the 98 lb-Hr value should be entered.

As for injector bias see the following thread:

Thanks RF, I get to start reading the link, and try to understand it

Next friday i get my box from Dakota Digital then should my digidash work as well.

I had one more problem that i don't understand, when i make a datalog with the program TTS Datamaster 31 my blm's showing very rich and my zeitronix is telling me very lean. Which one is lying to me??

Re: 16168625 with 4l80e

Need a bit more information how you have your EFI - Zeitronix setup.

Let see - the TTS data master gets its data capture from PCM. PCM is reading narrow band O2 Sensor which is part of your EFI system. Are you using 1 wire or 3/4 wire heated NBO??? A cold sensor will read lean (low voltages)

Zeitronix uses a heated sensor (BOSCH WBO), but if there is an exhaust leak before WBO it will read lean. Hence, can you describe how you have O2 and Zeitronix setup??

Re: 16168625 with 4l80e

I have a heated narrowband O2 in the left collector of my tpis header and the O2 from the zeitronix in the right collector.

my engine is a stock 350 now with World sr heads and a powermax 2040 cam.

the intake manifold is a SY-1 crossram with home made topplate and 56mm trottlebody's

The tranny is a 4L80e with the 16168625 pcm I start with the BJDR bin and the $OE XDF

This weekend when my digital converter box is in i wil make a new datalog and try to post it here

Thanks for your time to push me in the right direction

Sjaak.

Get your data log posted to this thread. Use ZIP or RAR to compress data files. You'll have to simultaneously capture Zeitronix and PCM data streams in two two separate files. Your laptop will need couple serial RS-232 ports to do this. To make sense of captured data wire up Zetronix to capture engine RPM and preferably MAP or CTS voltage (you'll have to tap into harness). This way the data logs can be viewed side by side and manually merged. It is not a clean - easy process since sampling rates are different, but with a little bit of effort it can be done.

Check header flange for exhaust leaks. A contaminated WBO will also read high voltage which corresponds to lean mixture. With fuel pressure at 30 PSI I highly doubt that you are running lean.
