Add TH400 kickdown on 7747...

So I started out with a v6/manual tranny and the previous owner dropped in a TH400 without a physical kickdown switch, and when I dropped in the 305 I switched the ecm to a 7747, can't remember the BCC for the chip I put in with it but I'm pretty sure it was for a 305/TH400.

Anyways, the question is how would I add the wire/relay for the kickdown with the 7747 ecm? Either that or if the wiring harness included it anyways in manuals where/what color would the wire be?

Thanks for any help

Pin A7, tan/blk from the ECM. Same as used for TCC and shift light. Be sure to set up the option flag as TCC control (not shift light).

As for the parameters, shoot, I've listed it here, need to find it. It uses the TCC tables to control the kick down relay.

Here is a decent thread on it:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/diy-...47-8746-a.html

That should do it.

{edit: I need to read better. The TCC output, pin A7, is pulled low when the kickdown is active. So wire the coil relay as +12 V ignition to it, then the other coil wire to the ECM.

As for the relay, ah, I know where it is, go here:

http://www.dynamicefi.com/EBL_Drawings.php

Third sheet down, at the bottom shows the TH400 kick down wiring. {/edit}

Haha, well it is just a solenoid that receives a 12v signal. I think before ~86 they just put either a switch on the carb or under the gas pedal that would send the signal at WOT and then they started incorporating it in the ECM. Probably thinking about the TH350/700R4
