Re: what causes jumbled data

if i start over the basics i remember are:
change injector flow rate to 30 lb
change volume to 784 cc/cyl
lower the ve a little down low for the cam
raise the ve a little for the heads / intake
go slow

for reference it made 323 rwhp with tpi style intake
and now has carb style with an elbow

Re: what causes jumbled data

Could be a bad write or issue during transfer.
Be sure to make the couple of tweaks to the definitions listed in this thread:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/diy-...-released.html

Had more to do with the extended VE table not the SA so this problem is unreleated.
Shoot me over your bin and i'll take a look at it and see if I can fidure anything out.

Re: what causes jumbled data

Try my V4 definitions and see if things look better.
You should also try the S_AUJP V4.
Same basis with a few added goodies and you can bring in the V3 settings for the throttle follower etc using the compare in TP.

Re: what causes jumbled data

I'm having the same problem reading a pcm4less chip that I wanted to use as a baseline. I changed the chip addressing and buffer addressing like in this thread, post #9

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/diy-...ml#post4698410

It helped but some of my tables like the MAF (using a $6E) are complete gibberish.

Re: what causes jumbled data

That is for a 16K size bin, the $8D mask is 32K.
Here is the whole table of settings when using different size bin/chips.
http://support.moates.net/2010/04/05...using-offsets/

I'll take another look at the bin you sent me.
I went over it pretty quick this morning and it looked ok on the surface, will dig deeper.

I don't believe that is bin related.
Check your bypass connector from the distributor for a good connection.

Re: what causes jumbled data

Holy bejesus!
that bin is FUBAR. I must have not had it "enabled" when I put it in the difference tool.
Take the original bin and begin transferring the good settings you want over to it again.
The SA table is certainly corrupt. No pattern just all over the place.
Even the cylinder select is 0C which is not an option.
(I take back my last comment, it could be this bin doing that because it is so bad.) Do not run with that, who knows what it will do.
Do you have a previous tweaked bin to use as a starting point?

Re: what causes jumbled data

i loaded a stock bin with just a couple of changes
and now i have timing control. still idles high .
it has error code 12 & 42 stored.
i am not sure how it got jacked up , the car used to
run awesome and i had not made any bin mods.
i need to log the car but i always have problems
in turner pro. i may just reload tuner cat .

Re: what causes jumbled data

Try logging with the def I sent you.
12 DRP error and 42 EST errors both are dizzy related.
could be a bad pickup or module connection.

Re: what causes jumbled data

ok i had a chance to work on the car again
i had my ignition module tested and it passed.
i took a stock AUJP bin and just changed the table
from 22 to 30 lb injectors using the file JP866SS
sent me and i tried to datalog the car using my
AUP1 and tuner pro rt . The box on the bottom of
the screen shows connected in blue and then
logging in green which i would guess means it working
but the "dash" does not changes values and when
i try to replay the log nothing happens

any ideas

Re: what causes jumbled data

Are you using a serial to USB adapter of any kind?
Can you datalog in bypass mode (like a std cable, not the APU1)?

Re: what causes jumbled data

ok i finally made good progress.
the high idle was a combination of a couple of problems
the tps is a little high @ .7 volt but i also finally found
a couple of vacuum leaks as well.
now i can command idle speeds from 650 rpm on up..
i modified the main VE table to account for the cam and
intake so now it idles clean .

unfortunately i am working blind as i have not got the
data logging working yet . i will play with that tommorrow
