Hi guys,

seasoned tuner, first time 27128A burner.

I have three erased 27128A chips. When I read them in Pocket Programmer 2, all three are blank (FF) in the 0000-2FFF area but not above 3000 where I see non-blank values.
And if I try to program the memchip (after loading data into the buffer), I get an error at the 3000 address.

Yes, the right chip is set in PP2 - 27128A.
Never burned 128kbit chips before so I don't even know if this programmer was able to do this in the past.

What is causing this strange phenomenon at 3000 and how to fix it?

Attaching the first few non-empty bytes (if they ring a bell). I can attach a hex printout later.

The puzzling thing is that all 3 of my 128A chips showed garbage after the 3000 mark. I have no problem reading or burning 256k chips so I assume we can eliminate the programmer.

I have a friend waiting for his new chip, I don't want to leave him hanging.

Any advice?
