Starting Problem - Vid attached




Sorry for the sucky video, it was taken on my cell phone.

This is what happens when starting the car (cold/warm).

The CSI is unhooked and the fuse is pulled.

I'm trying to figure out what would make this happen. There are LOTS of new parts on the car. It has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, injectors, fpr, maf, iac etc.

It has happened since I went from 32B to 6E. I'm running a bin from an 89 350 automatic car. It used to crank for about 2-3 seconds before starting, but I have played with some of the cranking things in the bin and have gotten it to start pretty much instantly when cold. It take a little longer when its warm to start.

I think it might have something to do with the cranking, or crank fueling, but what?

EDIT: COMPLETELY stock engine.

Do you have a wideband? Even though they are not real accurate during a start-up situation, they can give some clues as to what is happening with the fueling. This could be a possible lean issue after the engine has caught, and transitioned from the crank fueling to the MAF.

No, I dont have a wideband. So your talking that it could be lean from the transition from crank fueling to the fueling in the 1st MAF table?

I played around with the fueling today and richend the mixture on the maf tables with no change.

I am out of ideas, unless it is a sign my fuel pump is on its way out??

What is your Injector flow rate set at? And what was the reason for changing def......Get rid of the cold start injector?

Its set to 22.xx. Whatever was stock on an 89 350 chip.
