adjusting VE tables
adjusting VE tables
ok so i have a 91 camaro 350 TPI bored .030 over im using the AUJP bin, 8D mask, only things i have done on the chip so far is adjusted fan temperatures and deleted emissions. im using tuner pro and i need to adjust my AFR. i DO have a wideband 02 senor so i can see the live AFR. how do i go about changing the VE tables to correct my AFR.
i dynoed my car and it went full rich at 10.0:1
idle is about 14.3 so its close at idle but i was told at WOT it should be at 12.8

Re: adjusting VE tables
WOT is the 100-101 KPA table. Watch the wideband o2 sensor air fuel ratio vs your engine rpms to get an idea how rich it is at each rpm point.
Then go into the VE table vs rpm and adjust the cell located at the rpm value you need to change and the 101kpa column.
Also may want to do the same to the 90's kpa column since some cars dont see full 100kpa MAP at WOT due to intake restrictions.
Higher VE is RICHER. Lower VE number is leaner. Sounds like you need to pull alot of fuel.
OPTION B
You can skip the VE table and just tune Power enrichment vs RPM. At WOT you are likely in this mode so there is a table that adds % based fuel vs rpm. Also easy to use. Lower the values to lean it out, raise the numbers to richen.
try taking out 5-10% increments in this table and watch what happens.
