EBL-PE adder

Is that the SA-PE vs gear?

EBL.bin has it zeroed out. so SA is in Main and Extended?

Yet Zero gear has 2.8 800 rpms and 4.22 at 6400 rpms.

Is zero park neutral? Why does it exist?

Gear zero is for automatics. It is also used for stick shift when the N/V ratio option is disabled. If using a stick car and want to taper off the PE SA as the gear increases, set the N/V option flag. Then fill in the N/V table so that the ECM can calculate the proper gear.

Re: EBL-PE adder

OK. Thank you.

N/V flag set. Do I zero out value for the Zero column 800-6400? I did so.

Then at #1 I have 2.81 #2 2.46 #3 2.46 and 4th gear of 4 I have 2.11

Is that correct?

What values to use for PE SA depends upon the vehicle. For the above you've pulled 0.7* of timing from 1st to 4th, so not much of a reduction.

I would make gear 0 the same as gear 1.

The N/V ratio table also needs to be filled in with the proper values. Basically it is RPM divided by MPH and reduced by 10% (this is for the xxxLo entries). Then for 1stHi, split the difference between 1stLo and the number 255.

I need to clarify the above. Why do you say it is a reduction? Is not that gear table an adder of PE? I looked in your intro part 2 but did not see any explanation.

I am adding 3 for first gear then 2.5 - 2.5 then 2.0 for fourth of four gears. PE adder right? If it is a reduction where is the PE adder table?

Yes it is an adder table. However, if 1st gear likes an additional 4* of SA, while 4th is set for 2* of SA, then 4th gear SA is reduced by 2* over 1st gear SA.
