Help with tunerpro rt 5

i am struggling with this program. is there any good videos teaching how to use it? also i cant find the bin files or def files xds or any other files. nor do i understand the difference or uses. any help would be great. i would like to practice datalogging first. then chip tuning and burning. i have the cable from moates and the program from tunepro.net

The down loads states the difference in the extension files. You will need to download the $8d (.xdf for bin definitions and .adx for datastream definitions).

I downloaded those how do you load them in tunerpro it doesn't recognize them maybe I download them wrong not quite sure

Do you mean there hidden when you try to select a path when loading the adx ? If so place them into a new folder or location.

i put them in the same folder as tunerpro like it says and they do no appear when i hit load xdf

How did you download them?

It seems that come browsers download then as .txt files instead of the proper .xdf and .adx formats.

why are you loading the xdf ? Are you editing your .bin ?
Like I said above put the files in a different location then select the path.

You need to read through the stickies on basic tuning how to get started. The .bin is a binary file a read off your eprom. Unless you have a chip reader/burner don't worry about it. Do as six_shooter suggested if you double click on the adx for download you may download a text. Right click on the adx and chooses save as. I have had the files show in a folder but are invisible when you choose load definition in tuner pro. For that reason to get you going just put it to your desk top for now.

Yup, if your getting them off the TunerPro website don't click, right click and Save As, don't save a s text file. Or just get the files here, TunerPro website files have not been updated in years, we keep updated versions:
