idle limiter AXXD

Getting my car running. 383 with 6 speed starting with a AXXD BIN. Ive read up on the idle limiter for the AUJP, does anybody know how to change this in the AXXD BIN? Changing the Idle Speed vs. Temp. has no effect. Wondering I this is limited too in AXXD. I have Tunerpro and Tunercat. Figured this would be a hex edit using Tunerpro. Any help appreciated.

This was an auto car converted to 6 speed. 92 Z/28 AUJP car originally.

I don't see an idle RPM limiter is AXXD. Likely because it is a stick BIN.

Re: idle limiter AXXD

Any reason why changes to the table Target idle rpm vs. Coolant temp won't work?
I changed them all to 1000 and no change to the idle. Is there another table
I should look at? Can I just set it at the throttle blade so it won't go below 1000 rpm?
The problem with that is then the IAC won't have control, so I'm hesitant to do that.

Re: idle limiter AXXD

If your iac steps are at 160 the iac is all the way out and the throttle blades will need to be opened. I recently ran into a issue with $6e setting a 24 malfunction when I did this so I disabled the malfunction because of the higher idle target speed.

Being that the car was converted from auto to stick, make sure that the P/N input to the ECM is open. When grounded the ECM thinks the trans is in park or neutral.

Re: idle limiter AXXD

Thanks for the replies. I will try as time allows this weekend. RBob, I have the connector from the auto park/neutral switch unplugged. Is that sufficient, or do I need to pinout the wire from the ECM? Thanks.

Re: idle limiter AXXD

Update. Just went and tried it. It worked this time. I must have done something wrong last time. Thanks again.
