81 Camaro PROM Programming

My 81 is equipped with the factory (LC3) 229v6 fed by a CCC controlled Rochester LME3. The systems major components are the Mixture Control Solenoid, Throttle Position Sensor, Idle Speed Control,Oxygen Sensor. The book says the system can monitor 15 various operating conditions and use this info to control as many as 9 engine related systems. The 231v6 has a map sensor, baro sensor and electronic spark timing with no vacuum advance on the distributor. These are components that my 229 does not have, I am thinking the only reason for this is the 231 was the California version. The 231 I speak of isn't an even it too is odd fire. I am stuck in the middle with the 81 its like it doesn't know what it is. It's a second gen that wants to be a third. Has anyone ever messed with the 81 CCC or is it the same as 82?

Well I found out how the 81 ccc has the one time program read only memory. The pins on the chip are different than the most common ones used, although it would be possible to program changes using an exiting bin for a ZZ4 350HO but the processor speed used in 81 is too slow to make the quick calculations needed thus requiring the use of a newer ecm and also eliminating the need to modify the pins anymore than just adding a socket.
