Values read greater then byte size? MSB LSB?

Curious. if your connected properly and data logging in tunerpro v5. apu1 165ecm

and my airflow readings are 3000. the definition has no conversion and looking at my prior post about data list it appears right at offset 21. 16bit.

So it is taking 21 as MSB and 22 as LSB?

where are the formulas in the bin to see these values. Is this a decimal function that is not displaying properly? ie 3000 is really 3.000 gm/s

I know 8bit values seem to work this way. like the o2. It is 256 and makes out it is 1024 or 1.024 volts. the 16bits seem mine of there own.

I added new data streams in channels 26-31 to the payload to datalog my wideband

I added values for bytes 25-31 to see what happens and they seem to be in pairs but make no sense. 1 pair is at 12051 and 2 pairs are at 8031

they might fluctuate slight plus +100 when running but that's it.
maybe the LSB is being added and screwing up the reading?

Re: Values read greater then byte size? MSB LSB?

Well I logged using Winadl and Datamaster. and both software programs showed the 2500-3000 values but converted them to g/s (they showed both values raw and converted) and I am in 9-12g/s range at idle.

1: is that hi or broken MAF? I get no codes seems ok but maybe high, vac leaks?

2: I can update the def file in Tunerpro (divide value by 256) BUT my questions does that 3000 value effecting my ECM reading the BIN? is the raw data going to the ecm calculating and using the right MAF tables.

I think so. since the bin is not right able. We can edit the def just for monitoring to whatever.
