7730 : MAP vs. Power Brake Booster?

Hi Guys,

Presently tuning (1st time) a SD based 7730.

In searching through the posts, I found a reference to using a vacuum restrictor in-line with the hose that goes to the Power Brake Booster.

I presently do not have this installed in my car.

Is an in-line restrictor required?

Any suggested vendor or part number?

Best Regards,

Bruce

Hi Bruce

i think you mean a check valve, when letting of the gas pedal, MAP goes down and evacuate the brake booster.....when you stomp the gas again the check valve will hold the vacuum in the booster for a "vacuum reserve"
just to be sure to mount it in the correct direction...air must flow from booster to engine...

you can use one of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/POWER-BRAKE-...-/191248786132

search for "brake booster check valve" or similar...
