bought eblp4 flash-need knock sensor?

I bought the eblp4 flash. Was working with it and noticed I never got any knock counts. I found out it does not have a knock sensor installed. Apparently I can install one. Bob R recommends 'a small white knock sensor' that plugs in the ecm. Does anyone know a part number or where I can get this?

No knock filter installed. Here are two on Rock Auto that can be used. Both a very close to the stock L98 ESC filter. Second one is currently on sale:

STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS LXE37 {#16177700, 21657} 5.7L LT1 F 94 MY

STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS LXE22 {#16251879} 5.7L L31 LD/HD 98MY

just bought one. Now, just plug it in on the ecm board? That's it? It will start working. Nothing else to do, reset, etc....?

That's it, just plug it into the small out-rigger board. Note the direction, it hangs over the main EBL board (pictures on our web site).

Set this flag to enable the 3.9K sensor diagnostic:

Option Word 3 - Bit 1 - EscTt

That way if the knock sensor or wire to it goes open the ECM will toss code 43.

Be careful with the ECM while R&R'ing the upper case, don't over tighten the screws as some tend to strip easy. They are 1/4" hex head.

While in there can also run a wire or two to the ADC input terminal strip to outside of the ECM.

OK, I understand everything except....what is ADC input terminal and why do I need to run wires to it (and wires from where?)?

ADC = Analog to Digital Converter. Used to input analog info from say a wideband O2 sensor or maybe an accelerometer. Any zero to 5 vdc sensor signal gets converted to digital so the microprocessor can understand the info. HTH!

There are 8 available channels, and are used to data log and report items such as the AFR from a wide band O2 (WB) set up. Can also connect a fuel pressure sensor or other device to a channel.

Should have added this link:

Thanks bigall55 and rbob. That helps a ton.

Im going to add a wb o2, so that info was important. I like the idea of being able to constantly read the fuel press a swell, so I'm gonna search for a write up on how to add that as well.
