Cannot get TBI to idle down

Could someone please take a look at my idle and IAC settings in this tunerpro file and see what I apparently am missing. This is for my 383 with a 213/219 camshaft and the idle just hangs up at about 1100 RPM no matter what I do. If I extend the IAC and unplug it the car will idle fine at 700RPM. But as soon as I give control back to the ECM I have a high idle. I have been trying to fix this for quite a while with no real success. Thanks Roy

$42 mask ?
Iac steps vs coolant, desired idle speed look good. Have you looker at your int/Blm to see if your lean in that area ?

Yes $42. The BLM is always within a few points of 128 when it is idling, usually right on the money.

Re: Cannot get TBI to idle down

I have really really really checked for vacuum leaks. It has about 20LBS vacuum at idle. It idles fine if I extend the IAC and unplug it. I even replaced the IAC thinking maybe it was not working right. What is cl ?

Re: Cannot get TBI to idle down

The fact the iac is moving in sounds like it's working.

Cl=Closed loop

Re: Cannot get TBI to idle down

You mean my int/blm reading? My previous answer was referring to closed loop. Should I be tuning the idle in open loop? I haven't tried that.

Re: Cannot get TBI to idle down

The only other thing is it has a throttle kicker or if the cts reading is off.

The CTS reading is about 85 when it is warmed up.

Re: Cannot get TBI to idle down

I don't see anything called throttle kicker would that be IAC kickdown steps? Mine is set at 23, I don't think I have done anything with that setting before. If you meant a mechanical throttle kicker, I dont have one of those.

Re: Cannot get TBI to idle down

I deleted your .bin , iac added steps with ac on .
This would add if b8 of the ecm is grounded.

Re: Cannot get TBI to idle down

Tunerpro reads a/c not requested while the idle is sitting over 1100rpm but I will zero all those values out as an experiment
