Tuning Miniram with $8D vs $DA2 Accel Enrich, IAC & MAT counts
I've run he traditional SAUJP bin and the converted SAUJP "Miniram" bin from Ultm8Z. Most of the AE values, Enrichment, TPS, MAT, IAC values are updated to reflect an LT1 bin due to the intake similarities.
But are the bins really similar except some value changes or is the written code different and thus interchangeability isn't as easy as updating values between LT1 and L98 bins.
My question is when I change the AE charts to and all the corresponding bin data to match most of the BAFL bin (1992 6 speed Corvette) from the $DA2 xdf into my $8D xdf most of my tune is off. It's like I've gotta start over.
I'm wondering if there's code that doesn't directly correlate to the SAUJP file. I actually use a tuned ACXN bin since I have a 1991 6spd Corvette.
Are most of the miniram users converting to the SAUJP "Miniram Start Bin" and using the updated LT1 "style" AE, open loop, MAT, TPS and IAC bin values or sticking with the SAUJP bin data and tuning those changes to your motors.
The biggest question is: IS THE CODE THE SAME BEHIND THE "SCENES" FROM THE LT1 OR THEY ARE DIFFERENT AND SHOULDN'T BE SWAPPED INTERCHANGEABLY?
I can't see the "Scalars" with the $DA2 XDF Files... only the $8D xdf's... that makes me wonder if they're set to the same values or not.. I know that'll throw the rest of the numbers off
I certainly appreciate all the work Ultm8Z put into this, but I'd like to hear other people's responses that've used the "SAUJP Miniram" LT1 style bin with success or what challenges they've had.
Thanks in advance,
Sal

All that said, $8d (S_AUJP in your case) can only be tuned using the S_AUJP XDF which means that only those items applicable to S_AUJP can be changed.
