looking for EBL help in chicago

anyone in the chicago area who is familiar with the EBL Flesh and can give me hand tuning mine?
I've got the base 3005 bin loaded in the ECU. It does run, but is idling way rich, so I can't let it run long enough to get into closed loop.
Info on my car:
89 Formula 350 with aluminum head, 93-96 LT1 injectors (24.7lb), 08-503-8 cam, SLP Runners and modified plenum, edelbrock headers , EGR disconnected (not blocked off), Radiator fan switch disconnected.
I'm assuming it's a 350, but might be a 383. Bought the car already modified a bit, and specs weren't available.

Aluminum heads? You may want to start with the 3006 bin

I swapped over to the 3006 bin and changed the injector size setting and the BPC . Also set the base timing to 8degrees
The car starts fine, idles decently (still a little choppy, 750-850 rpm in park), but the exhaust is making my eyes water.
Any suggestions on how to lean out things some more?

What's your fuel pressure and are you using a wb o2 sensor?

stock fuel pressure AFAIK, we didn't change the pump or adjust the pressure regulator (at least not that I know of). Using the factory 1 wire o2. The WUD shows a ratio of 10:1 I think it was, way rich. It was reading 7:1 before tweaking I believe

Re: looking for EBL help in chicago

I wouldn't assume anything. Check your fuel pressure. Make sure the regulator isn't leaking. Are you positive those injectors are what you think they are? Did you change the injector voltage offsets for those injectors?
A WBo2 will help immensely. What's your BLM showing?

The injectors I ran the numbers on and they came back as late LT1 injectors. 94-96 type out of a vette.
I didn't see any leaks at the regulator.
I did not change the voltage offset for the injectors.
I'll have to check the BLM a little later.
I'll pop the fuel pressure gauge on it too, to verify pressure.

Fuel pressure while running reads 45psi
BLM on the WUD shows 128

Re: looking for EBL help in chicago

45 running is high. Sounds like an adjustable fp regulator was put in or someone shimmed the spring inside...or the gauge you used was inaccurate. Find out what the case may be. Factory is 43.5 without the engine running (or vacuum line disconnected while running) That usually brings it down to 38 while running and vacuum connected.
Start with that. I don't think you'll need much more than factory pressure if tuned correctly. Those injectors are good for the upper 300 hp mark.
BLM at 128 while being rich means it's not trying to correct anything yet. The engine may have been too cold or something of the like.

It definitely has an adjustable FPR. Do you know how to adjust it? I'm assuming just hook up a gauge, run the engine and turn the screw and see which way turns the pressure down
17121068 are the injector #s, which from what I see are 24# (not 24.7 like I thought)

Righty tighty (more pressure)
lefty loosy (less pressure) as I recall

Re: looking for EBL help in chicago

I tried to reach in and adjust the pressure, but can't get an allen wrench in there to turn it.
I've been doing some VE learning, and the initial start isn't running as rich anymore. However I've got an unstable idle and a bog under acceleration, especially when cold.
Is there a way to raise the cold idle speed? The car was stumbling pretty badly on my way to work this morning (10 minute drive)
