1228746 to 16197427 Swap. What memcal?

I am fixing -89 Camaro, originally with 305 TBI.
Now it have 350 block with AFR heads, Holley 670cfm TBI unit, unknown cam, headers, etc. Tuning is difficult.
And no knock sensor Maybe it won't work anyway with 305 esc module?

Better to swap to PCM, so I bought Standard KS6 knock sensor and 16197427 PCM but it was from V6 vehicle.
Can I modify memcal to make it compatible?
If not, what memcals are compatible? I can burn EPROM, but what about netres and knock sensor filter ??

post 6 if you need a memcal for v8 lmk just do tuning changes as described as well as cylinder select jumper.
427 has knock filter in memcal. Look at RockAuto for 350 truck knock sensor part number.

Gotcha, and v8 350 memcal will work from a 16196395 or
16197427 ecm . A 305 memcal knock filter wouldn’t be as accurate in a 350 as well as appropriate ks.

Amazingly enough I only have a 305 memcal but you should be able to find a 350 one on eBay for $50 or less

Make sure the MAP sensor vacuum hose is on the front of the TBI, not the rear or tuning will be near pointless. Holley screwed up and put the rear vacuum port in the IAC passageway.

Re: 1228746 to 16197427 Swap. What memcal?

Finally V8 memcal installed. Now it is idling nice and driving is possible if using only 1/100 of gas pedal, but anything more and it start bogging.
One problem is, I don't know if injector constant is correct.
Holley 502-6 TBI have 65lb/h injectors(?), but with what pressure?
Fuel pressure is adjusted to 25 psi, so, if original pressure is 11 psi, injectors are flowing now 98 lb/h ?
But if original pressure is 21 psi, it is now 72 lb/h ?

Just curious why not a lower fuel pressure and adjustment in ve based on wideband or int/Blm?

Just curious: what difference it makes? I still don't know what pressure I should have/what is original pressure for 65lb/hr

what tbi with pod injectors runs 21-25psi ?

how are you determining it needs more fuel ?
btw has the timing been remapped?

Just assuming this is correct:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/...ml#post1400866

But I try to lower pressure, maybe it helps.
I have not determined it needs more fuel, only using calculators with assumption this engine will make more than 300hp. (With better intake should be close to 400hp)
Timing remapped?? What? How?

Btw, I am using file "BJYL 350 TBI 700r4.zip" as starting point, downloaded from somewhere this site.

You stated you can burn ? But doesn’t sound like your doing basic datalogging to see what’s going on.

Logging with Tunerpro RT.
If I adjust injector size by BLM, what rpm/map value I should use? Totally different values at idle vs 2000 rpm, for example.

Anyway, let's assume Holley is using 11 psi and injector size is 65 lb/hr. I will lower pressure to 11 psi and test.

I’d leave injector constant alone and adjust ve if fueling correction is needed . But if your running afr heads a lot to gain with different timing first.
