Engine: ZZ4 TPI
Transmission: 5 spd.
need to swap knock sensor AND esc?
After a search I've found more opinion than fact...
I've swapped my 1988 305 auto tpi setup for a new zz4, 5 speed tpi and a new chip from Fastchips.
I have replaced the knock sensor but do I also have to replace the ECM and if so, specifically which one do I need?

Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
You need a 350 knock sensor on the block and the module mounted on the firewall.
