Pocket Romulator

With the disappearance of Moates, I am looking for an alternative emulator. Does anyone use the Pocket Romulator from Transtronics and what is/was your experience with it

I haven't tried the pocket romulator but it is tried and true. Old school. This might be of interest

Re: Pocket Romulator

I used it for a number of years before getting the Ostrich.

It's supported by Tunerpro and Tunercat.

It worked good.

Re: Pocket Romulator

According to the BMutator web site, it is supported in TunerPro. It seems focused on Honda. Not sure about 7730 ECU. Not much into spending $200 for an experiment.

Would like to communicate with Transtronics about the Pocket Emulator, but they never respond to emails. That always creates a concern about product support.

Would sure like to find a APU

Re: Pocket Romulator

Looks like it could work with a socketed memcal or typical G1 style adapter using the 2 included 14 pin headers. Might have to stack up a few sockets for clearance above the case. I like the idea of eliminating the ribbon cable.

Might even fit inside the case. Hopefully somebody will try one of these.

Re: Pocket Romulator

That’s trick, it might fit directly into the dip I soldered onto the memcal with eeprom removed.
