CobraRTP MotronicRT R6?
CobraRTP MotronicRT R6?
Does anyone have any experience yet with the CobraRTP MotronicRT R6 emulators? I see BoostedNW started selling them recently, and markets it as a replacement for the Ostrich now that Moates is out of business. Was curious if anyone's used one yet and what they think. Have a 1228746 ECM that I was planning on using it with, if it's worked well for others.

Oh, good to know. What's the difference in the 8746 that this won't work with it? Still just starting to dive in to prom & tuning; I vaguely remember seeing the 8746 isn't the best for tuning, but since it's all I have right now was hoping I could use an emulator with it.

What's the difference between the Pocket Romulator 1 and 2?
On another note - looking at BoostedNW's site, was a socket booster required for the Ostrich on 24-pin TBI applications like this? Made me wonder if they could eventually do a similar setup with the Motronic and a socket booster for 24-pin app's.

I reached out to Jamie at BoostedNW (US distributor for the Motronic) and he was confident about using it with a G2 and emulating as another chip with offsets. Thoughts?
Re: CobraRTP MotronicRT R6?
I still have plans to try this setup.. I have all the components I think I should need, but got a bit busy with other things on the car so I haven't gotten around to it yet. Just need to solder in the adapter and do some testing once I get the car back together.

I finally got around to a test run, and so far so good. I haven't had a chance to test vss etc, as I don't have the transmission back in yet. But so far it functions well with offsets, similar to using an Ostrich.

Won't work in the '8746 ECM...
