7730 controlling Crossfire?

I've got to pick the brains of the smart guys here, I recently toasted tge v6 in my Camaro and I was gifted a '82 Crossfire engine. Can I run that with the 7730 in the car and S-AUJP?

I didn’t think you can drive the 2 injectors just 1, might look into a 747

from what little I've found, the Crossfire fires both injectors at the same time off of one driver. Just checking to see if anyone has any info.

the $3E 730 was used with 1987-1988 2.0L L4 TBI single injector. But its driver can’t do 2 tbi injectors.i had a discussion about this topic years ago with rbob. Its not possible with hardware and software on the 730.

7730 has been used to run TBI.

The 1228746 is a good choice. It's designed to run 2 injectors and supports all inputs required for the crossfire plus you can add IAT. Supports all outputs except the hood louver. I've been using one in my crossfire for over 10 years.

Re: 7730 controlling Crossfire?

I've used a '7747 on a Crossfire Corvette, and my wife's 71 C10 is using a '7427 to run the Crossfire and 4L60E swap.

The '7730 COULD be used, but it's not ideal, and would be in uncharted or very minimally treaded territory which would me you'd be mostly on your own to figure out all of the details to getting it to work right.

Question to you and Henry above. Did you repin your harness and are you using Motes setup for the controlling with those ECMs?

I'm using the 1228746 with the Harness Adapter Module (HAM). Don't remember where I got it but I've had it for 15-20 years. Don't know if it's still available.

The original Crossfire ECM uses edge card connectors, so changing the connectors was needed.

The 7427 PCM was a complete EFI swap, so I just used the pinout as it was for that PCM.

The '7747 was just stock programming for a similarly equipped truck, 350 auto IIRC. My wife's truck is currently running on stock programming but I do have a modified MEMCAL that was installed, I removed it for some diagnostics, that turned out to be something mechanical, and just haven't swapped the modified one back in. I use Moates products when tuning OBD1 GM EFI.

Re: 7730 controlling Crossfire?

The 747 can use a g2 to convert a 2732 24 pin to 28 pin chip.
