WOT Shift Points?
WOT Shift Points?
Are the Wide open Throttle shift points COMPLETLY determed by the PROM? Say if someone programmed it to shift at 7500 on a stock TPI, (which I already know is absurd) Would it still shift that high?

The ECMs used on 3rd Gen F-bodies doesn't control the shifting of the transmission. Only the newer 4th Gens with their electronic transmissions does the ECM control the shift points.
The ECM does control the "locking/unlocking" of the TCC, if you have the 700R4/4L60 tranny though.

The governor inside the tailshaft of the transmission. The springs and weights can be changed to tailor the part throttle and WOT shift points. You'll stand a better chance of getting your question answered on the tranny board since the ECM doesn't play a role.
