27C1001 flash chip

Does anyone know of a compatable chip I can order to replace a 27C1001 128K eprom that is reprogrammable without erasing like the 29at256 chips we are using for the 165/730.

The calibration I am playing with is a 128K so I cant use my 29AT256 eeprom.

I assume this is what you're looking for. It's 32-pin though pretty sure.

Yep, 32-pin, here ya go:

Smells like a junk old PC BIOS or multiple ECM image configuration.
Anyway, The ATMEL part that Craig mentioned will be a drop in replacement DEPENDING on what voltage is applied on pin 31 during normal operation (not programming) mode. It must be 5 volts. If nothing is connected you COULD have problems(it will be unreliable). If it is 0 Volts, you definitely will have problems. Any of the EEPROM replacements for the UV EPROM will exhibit the same gotchas, not just the ATMEL part.
You can also look for other 128K X 8 EEPROMS or FLASH parts using www.freetradezone.com, just look for "128 X 8 EEPROM".

Craig, Still working on your multiple image device?

Cheers,
J

Thanks for that , I am working on a late 98 gm ecm here in australia , it uses a 27c1001 or 27c010 ? - dont really know the difference and the local chip suppliers know jack-****.

yes it is 32 pin.

I have just got sick of trying to erase and reburn as the factory eprom doesnt seem to reprogram consistantly , as soon as I cut it out and replace it with a 27c1001 it programs every time.
I love my 29c256 that I use in my 165 ecm soo much that I was hoping to do the dame for this chip.
