not working!!!

ok,I have tried unsuccessfully to burn a chip My steps are:blank check, verify device, start of device@04000,end of device
07fff,program device, then I check to see that device was programmed.send to buffer, save to buffer (in bins),go to tuner, open bins, find file that I named it,open it,and it tells me I need $25d.f.I also tried start of device at 00000,same results.
Car is 87z28(165ecm)trying to use the 6ed.f. with the at29c256
eeprom. What went wrong?BTW device never verified.any help would be appreciated.

I am sure uou will get better help than this but...
1)Make sure the you are set up for the right chip
2)Blank check
3)load your bin to buffer
4)program
5) Put it in the car

It sounds like you are having problems reading the BIN once it's programmed to the AT29C256.

Simple, just read the AT29C256 as a 27C128 (for MAF only). The AT29C256 should read just like a 27C128 when you set the PP to that particular eprom. Just make sure that you don't have the eprom in the PP when you change the "eprom type". Switching to a different eprom type can cause a "surge" and fry an eprom if it is left in the PP.
