Help quick, PP won't program

It will read and blank check just fine but it won't program. I get "A programming error has occured 0000-00FFF" Does anyone have any clue what that means? I'm using the WinPP software on my Dell 500Mhz laptop. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've tried several chips and my mom's HP computer and i still get the same error. I know at least on chip was good for sure becaue it's the on that I just took out of my car. I still don't know what's going on.

I know that with my emp-10 there is an issue with faster computers and having to change a few settings (talks about it in the manual, I think it call fast computers faster than 166). Might want to look into that. Also make sure you have selected the right device (I actually fried 2 27128a's because I selected 27128, or visa versa, they have different programming voltages so when I popped one in with a lower voltage to be programmed at the higher setting it killed the chip). You may want to call their customer support.

yeah give them a call...

i had a similar problem this afternoon..i have a 900 MHz computer, and the guy on the phone told me that it was "too fast".

i just changed the pulse width or something...i dont remember exactly what it was called, but it worked like a charm after that.
