I fixed my blinkers and tail lights, but when I press my brake pedal the gauge lights light up. Does anyone have any idea on this? I've searched and have turned up nothing on this topic.

sounds like your brakelights are finding a ground path through your parking light circuit.

check all your brake light bulbs and make sure they are the two element style, if you put a single element bulb in where it does not belong the current will jump across the socket and power-up the other side of the system (i.e. parking lights, etc, etc,)

Yep that fixed it. Had one single fillament light bulb in my pass brake light. Must have gotten mixed up when I put them into the utility closet. Thanks 1986redbird

Oh since I am happy right now I finished making my horn contacts. It was easy project to do in 30 minutes, made it from some scrap steel that was 75 thousandths thick and cut out a flat J shape then grinded it till it was as wide as my broken conctact then put the bottom part in a vise and bent then did the same to the top part. I have a working horn at last, I can finally stop using the middle finger horn
