i got my motor running pretty good but my battery is not charging.. i am using an older style alternator.. the one that has the two wire plug in and a wire on the back.. now i have the wire on the back plugged in and the thick red wire frm the starter up to the alternator.. not sure if i needed anything in the other slot.. so where does the wire from the other slot go to.. since i completely rewired the whole car.. thsi is the only thing not working fraid to say.. the quicker i find this out the quicker i am on the road thanks!!

either wire a high impedance resistor in series between a switched ignition lead & the brown wire on the alternator or get a "one wire" conversion kit from jcwhitney.
