Cruise control problem

Ok, I am doing an auto to manual swap, and I am not clear about something. With the automatic, cruise control is deactivated when you press on the brake pedal. What about with manual cars? Is it the brake pedal or the clutch? If its the brake pedal, the rpms will go up if you press the clutch. If its the clutch, pressing the brake pedal will not disengage cruise control. Whats the deal?

The clutch and the brake pedal should deactivate the cruise.

When changing from man. to auto you will need too tape or zip
ty the clutch switch. Use clutch start switch for the neutral safety switch. Unplug the start clutch start switch and wire the nuetral safety switch to the wires.

The clutch AND the brake pedal? How would I go about wiring that? I know theres the brake light sensor, got the one from the auto pedals. Theres the cruise disengage switch that I have hooked up to the brake pedal. The clutch safety switch which is obviously the black little box on the clutch pedal. But there are two more sensors that I'm not sure what they do. Theres a big pull - type switch that goes on the clutch pedal, and a round black sensor that mounts on the clutch pedal side as well. What are these last two for?

There should be a switch (rectangular, closest to the firewall) that is contacetd when the cluch pedal is pressed in, this would be the clutch/neutral start switch (yellow & purple wire on it).

A 2nd switch (towards the driver) should be pressed when the clutch pedal is released. This is the other switch that releases the cruise control.
You have your brake switch that runs from there to the clutch switch (brown wire & grey wire I think) and then to the cruise unit.

signal wire---> brake switch---> clutch switch---> cruise unit/brake input

Thanks for your help guys. That makes things clearer. I still need to figure out what the pull-type switch does though, if anyone knows.

It depends on the car you got the clutch pedal assembly out of. I got mine out of a manual car with no cruise. It has one pull type switch mounted to it. when the pedal is dperessed it pulls the plunger away from the switch (Not all the way out of course) which activates your clutch start safety switch.
