A/C switch problem

Hey guys, I have two 91 Firebirds, a base model and a Formula and both have started exhibiting the same problem. The switch that controls the fan speed doesn't always work. If you leave the A/C on with the switch on high after hitting a couple of bumps going down the road the fan may just start working, but not always. The other thing is, when I turn the car off, if I leave the A/C on and the fan switch on high it keeps on running. Go figure, the only way to get it to stop is to turn off the A/C. Do you guys have any ideas?? If you need more info please let me know. This is driving me crazy, especially when it is hot as hell outside and I am in a black car and the A/C is broken.
Thanks for any help.

Sounds like the blower high speed relay, next to the fan motor.
