Electronics Need help wiring something up? Thinking of adding an electrical component to your car? Need help troubleshooting that wiring glitch?

All I need is a switch to turn on both fans with and then turn off back to stock?

All I need is a switch to turn on both fans with and then turn off back to stock?

Thanks, my car will really appreciate it. How should I wire it so that both will turn on and then when I flip the switch off they will return to stock operating ranges.

If you want the fans to operate only when the ignition is on, then the connectins are simple to do. The following is for a '90 - '92 ECM: Connect a switch between ground and the gray wire on pin D12 on the ECM (large black connector). This switch will either turn the secondary cooling fan on when ignition power is applied (switch closed), or let the factory switches control the secondary fan operation (switch open). Connect a second switch between ground and the dark green / white wire on pin E8 on the ECM (green connector). This switch will either turn the primary cooling fan on when ignition power is applied (switch closed), or let the ECM control the primary fan operation (switch open).
