does new battery mean new alternater?

Car: 2001 Camaro Z28/1995 Camaro Z28
Engine: just a little 5.7(LS1-320/340 RW)
Transmission: SMOOOOOOTH T-56/Auto. . .
Axle/Gears: 3.42 and 2.73
not necessarally...only if your battery went bad because the altenator went out...
the altenator makes power whent he car is running and recharges any battery usage.
the battery makes power when you're tryin to start the car.
if the altenator went out, then the battery would have to make the power all the time and would KILL it rather quickly.
if the battery went out, the car won't start.
so, long story short...have your altenator tested by someone you trust!!!
