Dash harness connector

I recently put my dash back together and drove my car for the first time in about 3 months (w/o a muffler, holy cr#p its loud ), but I couldn't remember where this one connector plug into. It is a small black square connector that branches off the harness right next to the cruise control "black box" on the passenger side. It is a female connector with several small pins protruding from it. Anyone know what this is for? Thanks.
John

I think I know which one you are talking about and I think mine is disconnected also. It may be for an option you don't have like rear defroster/defogger or Daytime running lamps (canadian).

Thanks, GmTech. It's not for rear defroster, that connector is plugged into the switch further towards the middle of the dash. Maybe it is for daytime running lamps, which I dont have. I cant remember if it was hooked up to anything or not. It probably wasnt, because almost everything works fine when I drive the car. Thanks,
John

Sorry I didn't clarify. I know where the defroster "switch" is, I meant to say for the defroster relay, wich is in the general area you are talking about.

hmmmm.... my defroster doesnt work. Maybe this is why. What does the relay look like? There is metal box with a metal bracket that is further on the outside edge of the dash also hidden under that same trim piece and also connected to a small black connector....is this the relay you're talking about or is that for something else? If that is what your talking about, it is already hooked up. The connector im talking about is very small with a six pin lay out with two pins not filled:

1 2 0
0 3 4

there are several wires connected to it in the colors: 1)Red 2)Purple 3)Pink 4)White. I dont have a wiring diagram to look at, sorry. I hope this gives you a better idea of what Im talking about. Thanks a whole lot in advance. (sorry its long)
